On a sitting practice…

4/25/20: I have been meaning to meditate and/or practice pranayama daily for years. As with many others, it has been in fits and starts. I’ve never quite felt like I hit on the “perfect” mantra or method and I have let my push for perfection become a barrier and an excuse. Maybe I’ve tried and failed enough times or I’ve finally realized the truth that sitting every day really impacts how I feel and how I react in my day. In this time of high intensity, fear, anxiety, short fuses and not knowing what is going to happen, I have felt myself drawn like the high tide to a morning sitting practice. Whether it is 5 min or 20, it matters and no matter what it looks like, it makes a difference.
